Please
take time to watch this if you missed it on the Today Show. Let this
remind us all what God wants us to do. No matter how bad we think we
have it, someone has it worse. It is our obligation as a child of God,
who gives so much, to give back and to help our fellow man in need. I
am indeed humbled by this story. So often we, including myself, tend to
judge people that are on the side of the road asking for money for
food. "Are they really hungry or going to use it for alcohol or
drugs?". I shall recall what my dear sister, Teresa Bacon Hale,
said, "It's none of her business to know what a man does with the
money, only that she has given as Christ has commanded her to". What he
does from there is his responsibility, and he has to answer to God. If
we all take one thing off the gift list for someone and give it to the
less fortunate, just think of how many happy people there will be in
December. We don't have to stop there either. God
Bess you all! As a reminder to myself, I have no right to judge anyone. It is against God's will and a sin.
Matthew 6:1-6 Giving to the Needy
1 "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be
seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 "Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet
before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets,
that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have
their reward. 3 "But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left
hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 "that your charitable deed
may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward
you openly.
"Riding
in the car and I keep hearing Eleanor say "Cheese!" She has an old
phone and think she's taking pictures of herself. Wonder where she gets
that from? Paula Bacon Smoak"
I'm in here, can anybody see me?
Can anybody help?
I'm in here, a prisoner of history,
Can anybody help?
Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for,
You to come rescue me,
I need you to hold,
All of the sadness I can not,
Living inside of me.
I'm in here, I'm trying to tell you something,
Can anybody help?
I'm in here, I'm calling out but you can't hear,
Can anybody help?
Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for,
You to come rescue me,
I need you to hold,
All of the sadness I can not,
Living inside of me.
I'm crying out, I'm breaking down,
I am fearing it all,
Stuck inside these walls,
Tell me there is hope for me
Is anybody out there listening?
Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for,
You to come rescue me,
I need you to hold,
All of the sadness I can not,
Living inside of me.
Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for,
You to come rescue me,
I need you to hold,
All of the sadness I can not,
Living inside of me.
I'm in here, can anybody see me?
Can anybody help?

I
no longer need to hold onto what is not serving me. I am releasing the
heavy burdens I carry to allow room for good to flow into my life. - Lee

Jennifer Foster of Florence, AZ was visiting
Times Square with her husband Nov. 14 when they saw a shoeless man
asking for change. She writes, “Right when I was about to approach, one
of your officers came up behind him. The officer said, ‘
I
have these size 12 boots for you, they are all-weather. Let’s put them
on and take care of you.’ The officer squatted down on the ground and
proceeded to put socks and the new boots on this man. The officer
expected NOTHING in return and did not know I was watching*. I have been
in law enforcement for 17 years. I was never so impressed in my life. I
did not get the officer’s name. It is important, I think, for all of us
to remember the real reason we are in this line of work. The reminder
this officer gave to our profession in his presentation of human
kindness has not been lost on myself or any of the Arizona law
enforcement officials with whom this story has been shared.” Our thanks to the Fosters for their attention and appreciation, and especially to this officer, who remains anonymous.
Today
I ran into someone that worked at one of our favorite Mexican
restaurants that went out of business years ago. She was telling me how
beautiful I was, and that it must have been ten years that she has
known me. All of a sudden my mind shifted to me and my Mother eating in
that restaurant so many times, and I began to cry. She just hugged me tight.
I have been tearful
all afternoon over the loss of my loved ones. The Holidays are always
the hardest time. My sweet, sweet, Mom; she was my Elf too.:) She always
wrapped all my presents for me.
My head hurts, Mama. I wish I could
talk to you. I miss you so much I can't even put it in words. My love
for you is eternal. ♥
“Destiny
itself is like a wonderful wide tapestry in which every thread is
guided by an unspeakably tender hand, placed beside another thread and
held and carried by a hundred others.”
"Everyone is always going through tough things, the irony in it is that
everyone thinks what they’re going through is just as hard as what you
are. Life isn’t about surviving this, it’s about understanding this..."
“I
can't control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to be.
There's only now, there's only here. Give in to love or live in fear. No
other path, no other way. No day but today.”
